About Me
Mathsheet.io was built by Harrison Bleiberg, a teacher who got tired of spending hours preparing math practice materials for his First Grade Class. Generating printable math worksheets and elementary math practice sheets every day took more time than it was worth. I used to spend hours copying math worksheets, grading them, and having them prepared daily for our math class. Eventually, I graduated to scanning in worksheets and building an Excel workbook that could generate worksheets more easily. It saved time, but it wasn’t elegant, and it was hard to train my colleagues how to use it.
Eventually, I used my computer science background to start building a tool that could do it better. I built the initial intake form with HTML, and used some AI tools, including Claude and ChatGPT, to fill in the gaps in my Java knowledge and debug some of the more finnicky parts of the code. I am constantly working on MathSheet.io to add new free math worksheet options and I love hearing feedback from teachers who use it.
How it Works
After you make your selections and hit ‘Generate,’ math problems are created via JavaScript — no AI involved, and everything runs locally within your browser. For the “Save Roster” feature, a temporary file is saved on your computer to store the roster. No data is ever sent to an external server, and I can’t see any saved roster information — even if I wanted to.

What Makes This Site Special
I built Mathsheet.io so that anyone could use it, free. I don’t believe in gatekeeping educational resources, and I believe a teacher’s time is better spent on direct instruction and building relationships with students — not on administrative tasks that are ripe for automation.
My goal is simple: give students, teachers, and parents instant access to clear, well-crafted free printable math worksheets for elementary school with no subscriptions, no accounts, and no hoops to jump through. Just find what you need, print it out, and get to work.
